Trip to Peru – Day 5
One of the first things we did today was visit Sodimac, the local “Home Depot”. We went there to look for prices for materials. I’m telling you, these people aren’t missing a thing. They have stores with everything just like the US.
After we ate some lunch, (chicken and french fries again) we need to buy some gifts for the kids. So we found the tourist store and were able to get some fun gifts. I got Mikey a hand made recorder, the girls are getting panchos made from alpaca fur, and frankie is getting a cool toy that makes wooden chickens peck the ground (I will have to attach video here).
Back out to the jobsite, we went and talked to Segundo again and one of the engineers. The marks were mostly where we expected them to be, and there will be a lot of dirt work that needs to be done before we can start the project.
Now its night we went and ate at the plaza again. Its close enough to walk to, and had other food besides what we ate every day. After we ate we went to the grocery store and bought some peruvian food for the kids to eat.
