Catie and the first grade class at Stafford Elementary put on the Deep in the Jungle production. Catie got the prestigious part of Monkey number 1. She really blew everyone away with her performance.

You have to realize that Catie is ultra shy at school, so everyone was so amazed by this program. They actually have try outs at the school and a lot of the girls really want to be monkeys. One day, Mrs. Morgan stopped us and said how amazed she was. When it was Catie’s turn to try out for the monkey part, she said she transformed into this loud singing, hip shaking kid. One of the other first grade teachers commented on how she had only heard Catie say a total of three words the whole year.

Tessa got started making the costume about a month before the concert. Catie was super worried that she would not have it done in time. In fact Catie would bother her every day about it.

The day we were there, she was so relaxed. She really had a lot of fun.
