Catie’s Birthday Party
The Chameleon cake that Tessa made was a huge hit. Catie was very excited to have mom make another fun cake. (Mike South)
Catie had her 8th birthday party yesterday! We had the family over to celebrate with cake, ice cream, and pizza. Everyone got to see Catie’s birthday gift, her Chameleon named Pascal. Silly string and confetti wars went on outside, even though most of still found itself inside the house.
Catie is 8 years old now, and its hard to believe. She has been such a good help to mom this summer, cleaning and keeping the others in line. She even has to get after me sometimes when I get a little too angry at the kids. She is really growing up.
Her big gift this year was her Chameleon named Pascal. She has really been excited about it. She has read all the books on how to take care of it, and has been doing a great job. A Chameleon takes a lot of work. You have to spray the cage to keep up the humidity, you have to feed it about 8 crickets a day, you have to powder the crickets with calcium powder, and he has different lighting for the day and the night.
Her Chameleon is very friendly. It climbs all over you when you are holding it, and likes to climb everything, including our curtains.
